She was born Aug. 25, 1955, in Fulton County, a daughter of James D. and Carol Curtis Briney. She married Lloyd A. “Tink” Vaughn in Las Vegas, Nev., on April 5, 1985. He survives.
Also surviving are one stepdaughter, Kim (and Russell) Fairow of Athens; one sister, Janice Briney of Havana; one brother, Jay (and Robin) Briney of Havana; two grandchildren, Courtney Kincaid and Lucas Pitchford; nieces and nephews, Katie (and Kirk) Atwater, Brittany (and Sean) Bryant, Jason (and Jennifer) Briney and Jennifer (and Jeff) Hole; and three great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, James Curtis Briney.
She worked for Ameren for over 30 years. She was a life member of the VFW Post #6408 Auxiliary.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at VFW Post #6408 in Havana. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.
