Rosalyn “Jo” Thome, 70, of Ipava died at 7:48 a.m. Oct. 1, 2021, at home.Rosalyn “Jo” Thome, 70, of Ipava died at 7:48 a.m. Oct. 1, 2021, at home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1951, in Crawfordsville, Ind., the daughter of Robert and Beverly Stockdale Cook. She married Lyndell Schnarr. He preceded her in death. She later married David Thome.
Surviving are two daughters, Bobbi (Schnarr) Watkins and Melissa (Thome) Lannery, both of Ipava; one granddaughter whom she raised, Shona Ramey of Ipava; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Donald Fawcett; and one son, DJ Thome.
She worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company. She spent most of her life as a CNA at many health care centers in the area, including The Elms in Macomb, Renaissance Care Center in Canton, and she retired from Graham Hospital Home Health Care. She also kept busy with cleaning homes and businesses as well as providing in home health care for many people.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
