Norman ThomasNorman C. Thomas, 74, of Macomb died at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 2, 2019, at home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1945, in Canton, a son of Claire L. and Evelyn D. Batterton Thomas. He married Patricia Switzer on Oct. 10, 1970, in Ipava. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Kary (and Amy) Thomas of Midwest City, Okla.; his mother, Evelyn Thomas of Darlington, S.C.; and one brother, Keith (and Phyllis) Thomas of Florence, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Randall Thomas.

He worked at NTN Bower in Macomb for over 40 years in the Maintenance Department.

He was a Air Force veteran, serving from 1964-67 with the 604th Military Airlift Support Squadron with a rank of Airman First Class.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Military rites provided by the Ipava American Legion Post #17. Burial will be at Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
