Freida June Trone, 88, of Rushville died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Heritage Manor South Nursing Home in Beardstown.
She was born June 1, 1915, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Earl and Alma Parker Settles. She married Harold E. Bryant on Oct. 3, 1933, in Rushville. He preceded her in death. She later married Orville Eugene Trone on Aug. 1, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. He died May 28, 1987.
She also was preceded in death by three grandchildren and one sister.
Surviving are four sons, Larry Bryant of Bushnell, Fla., Leslie (and Janice) Trone of Benton and David (and Ruby) Bryant and Gary (and Kathy) Trone, both of Rushville; three daughters, Marilyn (and Francis) O'Malley of Eldridge, Iowa, and Sharon Layne and Joyce (and Mike) Booton, both of Springfield; one brother, Paul Settles of Canton; one sister, Fairy Leezer of Canton; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was a charter member of Rushville Church of the Nazarene in Rushville.
Services were held Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Lester Burgard officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
