Mrs. Ina May Trimmer Dies In Canton Hospital

Mrs. Ina May Trimmer, 77, of Astoria, passed away Thursday at the Graham hospital in Canton, following an illness of several years duration.

Born July 24, 1878 in York Springs, Pa., a daughter of Daniel and Abbie (Siplinger) Shank, she was married on May 16, 1896 to John W. Trimmer, who preceded her in death on May 4, 1946.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Irene Zeutzius, Iron Mountain, Mich.; Mrs. Abbie Wright, Astoria; Mrs. Gladys Thomson, Altona; Mrs. Edna Trone, Macomb; Mrs. Margaret Tyler, Kingston Mines; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Stokes, Iron Mountain, Mich.; Mrs. Kathryn Dutrey, Carlisle, Pa.; and four brothers, Albert Shank, Abbotstown, Pa.; Jacob Shank, Vermont; Webster Shank and Benjamin Shank, both in York Springs, Pa. Three infant sons and two sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Trimmer was a member of the Astoria Christian church.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in the Shawgo Memorial Home, conducted by Rev. Lee Carter Maynard, pastor of the Astoria Christian church. Burial was in the South Fulton cemetery.
