John Struble

John Milton Struble, 63, of Browning died at 10:44 a.m. June 19, 2022, at his residence in Browning.

He was born Feb. 27, 1959, in Beardstown, a son of Fred Earl Struble and Betty Oakman Struble DeWitt.

Surviving are his significant other Liz Hicks of Beardstown; and three sisters, Carol (and Richard) Walters of Mason City, and Linda Severns and Joan (and Robert) Hamlin, both of Browning.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Sidney DeWitt; and one brother, Robbie Struble.

He was a graduate of Rushville High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1977-83.

He last worked for the State of Illinois at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Browning Cemetery with Mr. Paul Burton officiating and military honors by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and a U.S. Army Honors Detail. There will be no visitation. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
