Juanita StambaughJuanita Mae Stambaugh, 84, of Smithfield died at 12:17 a.m. April 4, 2017, in her home.

She was born July 30, 1932, a daughter of Orson and Minnie Bartlett Burrows. She married Gilbert “Buck” Stambaugh on April 16, 1949. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2002.

She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Mason, Georgia Pilgrim and Clarice Woodell-Easley.

Surviving are three children, Orson “Butch” (and Viva “Toots”) Stambaugh, Dawn Stambaugh and Shirley (and Nathan) Engel; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She attended Cuba High School, Spoon River College, worked at Atwoods, Victor/Dana for years and then worked as a nurse’s aide at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.

She requested cremation and a graveside service to be held at a later date. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
