Minnie Burrows

Minnie M. Burrows, 87, of rural Smithfield, died at 10:48 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1908, at Table Grove, a daughter of Clyde and Mary Frew Bartlett. She married Orson Burrows at Keokuk, Iowa on June 1, 1927. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Clarice Wooddell Easley and Audrey Mason, three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Stambaugh of Cuba and Mrs. Georgia Pilgrim of rural Smithfield; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, May Frazier of Long Beach, Calif., and Rhoda Essex of Canton.

She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Ken Bloyd officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Church at rural Lewistown.
