Glenn J. Smith, 86, of Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Astoria, died at 10:15 a.m. May 28, 2015, at Moosehaven (Retirement Home).
He was born July 31, 1928, a son of Glenn R. Smith and Helen Vaughn Smith.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda (and Stanley) Thomas of New Castle, Ind., and Connie Surratt (and Bob Rich) of Astoria; two sons, Ricky and Emily Smith of Monmouth and Randy (and Natalia) Smith of Peoria; one brother, Russell Smith of Browning; two sisters, Frances Smith of Rushville and Rosalee Morgan of Canton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl; and one great-granddaughter, Jade.
He retired from International Harvester of Canton with 30 years of service.
He was a member of Browning Church of Christ and a 20-year member of the Moose Lodge of Canton and Rushville.
Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
