She was born April 20, 1931, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Glen R. and Helen Marie Vaughn Smith. She first married Morris W. Milby on Feb. 19, 1950, in Littleton. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1984. She later married Floyd Smith on June 27, 1987, in Littleton. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 2001.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Milby; and two brothers, Carl LeRoy Smith and Glen Smith Jr.
Surviving are two children, Phyllis (and Jack) Swearingen of Littleton and Morris LeRoy Milby of Macomb; one brother, Russell R. Smith of Browning; one sister, Rosalee Morgan of Canton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and provided cleaning services to the Burton family and Moreland & Devitt Drug Store.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Littleton since 1950. She also was a member of the Rushville Lions and Gideon’s.
Services were held Saturday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Sam Stringer officiating. Burial was in the Littleton Cemetery.
