Ruth Louise Sterling, 83, of Havana died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 30, 1921, in Bradshaw, Neb., a daughter of Andrew Jacob and Ina Carter Scrogum. She married Henry A. Sterling on March 3, 1942, in Missouri. He died March 21, 1991.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Effie Weese, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She and her husband farmed in rural Fulton County near Havana.
She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star, Tourist Club of Lewistown and the Havana Women's Club.
She was a member of Central Christian Church in Havana and its Christian Women's Fellowship and choir.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hurley Funeral Home with Rev. Jan Johnson officiating. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one before services. Burial will be in Foutch Cemetery in Fulton County.
