Wanda L. Smith, 90, of Canton died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1913, in Abingdon, a daughter of Henry and Vannie Way. She married Ernest A. Smith on April 16, 1931, in Galesburg. He died April 8, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Forest and George; and one sister, Louise McCurdy.
Surviving are one son, Robert (and Nancy) of Canton; three grandchildren; and one sister, Lucille Dowell of Avon.
She worked at Astoria Fibra Steel and Princess Peggy in Peoria. She was a Salvation Army volunteer in Canton for many years.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Sue Roat officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
