Louise Nelda McCurdy, 92, of Vermont died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born Nov. 21, 1908, in Knox County, a daughter of Henry and Vannie Manley Way. She married Harold White McCurdy on Sept. 20, 1927, in Galesburg. He died Oct. 1, 1964.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Surviving are one son, Harold Lee (and Helen) of Vermont; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Dowell of Avon and Wanda Smith of Canton.
She retired from Vermont Foundry.
A 50-year member of Vermont Order of Eastern Star, she had served as worthy matron many times.
Services were held Sunday at Vermont United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
