MARTHA E. (DIETZ) SCROGUM

Martha Scrogum

Martha E. Scrogum, 59, of Lewistown died at 8:20 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at Prairieview Care Center.

She was born July 11, 1941, in Peoria, the daughter of Clarence J. and Mary J. Nate Dietz. She married Ben Scrogum on Sept. 17, 1966, in Summum. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Lewistown; three sons, Jonathan and Pete, both of Lewistown, and Phillip (and Michelle) of Rantoul; one daughter, Elizabeth (and Steven) Johnson of Farmington; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.

She worked as a checkout clerk at Day & Palin IGA for 12 years. She also worked as a crossing guard at Lewistown Central Grade School for eight years.

She was a member of Lewistown Rebekah Lodge.

She was a member of Summum Christian Church, where services were held at 11 a.m. today with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
