Nellie R. Shaw, 94, of Rushville, died at 7:00 am. Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at her residence.
She was born July 22, 1902 in Sheldons Grove, a daughter of Charles Franklin and Miranda Carter Rhoades. She married Lester Shaw Sept. 28, 1950 in Rushville. He died July 8, 1967.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Rhoades, Lawrence Rhoades and Earl Rhoades; three sisters, Bessie Hardy, Ida Kelly and Myrtle Walters; and one nephew, Richard Rhoades whom she helped raise.
Graveside services were held this morning at the Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Scott Henley officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
