Herbert L. Sayers, 87, of Beardstown, formerly of Browning, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 1995, at the Myers Convalescent & Skilled Nursing Center in Beardstown.
He was born March 6, 1908 in Browning, the son of George W. and Timandary Sayrs Sayers. He married Alma Stroops April 29, 1933 in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, George Sayers of Rushville; two grandchildren, David Sayers of Browning and Toni Schiller of Lake In The Hills; and four great-grandchildren, James, Greg, David and Amanda.
He was a farmer retiring in 1987. He was a former member of the Schuyler Co. Farm Bureau and Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
Funeral services were held this morning at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Ridgeville Cemetery near Browning.
Memorials may be given to the Ridgeville Cemetery Association.
