ROSE ETTA (ASHCRAFT) SKILES

Rose E. Skiles Of Rushville Dies

Rose E. Skiles, 89, of Rushville, died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 1990, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Dec. 15, 1900, in Ray, a daughter of Ned W. and Margaret A. Simeral Ashcraft. She married Hallie B. Skiles on July 4, 1919, in Fort Madison, Iowa. He died on April 10, 1950.

She also was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Sandra) Stambaugh of Rushville, Mrs. Stanley (Isabel) Fordyce of Vermont, and Rose M. Baer of Camdenton, Mo.; two sons, Hallie B. of Havana and Roger N. of Ipava; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great, great-grandchildren.

She was employed for 11 years by the Ken-Ray Foundry of Vermont.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. this afternoon at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont, with Rev. Robert Kirkham officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery.
