Anna J. Sheckler, 64, of 111 S. Second St., Keokuk, Ia., died Monday, June 4, 1990 at her residence.
She was born July 7, 1925 in Macomb, a daughter of Frederic Paul and Catherine (Humberstone) Sheckler in Avon. She also lived in Bushnell and has resided in Keokuk since 1969.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Prather of Astoria and one aunt as well as nephews and cousins.
She received her masters degree from Western Illinois University and had been a teacher for 25 years at various Illinois and Iowa schools. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk.
Funeral services were held Thursday in Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Rev. William Olmsted officiating. Burial services were in Avon Cemetery.
