Roy Sullivan Of Pekin Dies

Roy E. Sullivan, 84, of Pekin, a former Astoria resident, died at 6:04 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 1990, in Pekin Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1906, in Adair, a son of David and Rosella Schisler Sullivan. He married Fern Danner on June 23, 1928, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Norma Hammond and Sharon Evans, both of Pekin; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lenore Ames of Astoria.

Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.

He had worked for Caterpillar for 15 years, retiring in 1972. He also operated Sullivan Feed Mill in Astoria several years ago.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Wayne Rouse officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
