Hazel D. Samuell, 76, of Lewistown, died at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 1988, at the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 23, 1912, at Unionville, Mo., a daughter of John and Deelie Robinson Guffey. She married Orley D. Samuell Aug. 22, 1927 in Unionville, Mo. He died June 5, 1980.
Surviving are one son, James A. of Lewistown; one sister, Lamere May of Denver City, Tex.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Samuell had formerly worked as a practical nurse. She attended the Free Methodist Church in Lewistown.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Donald Kaufman officiating. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Fire and Rescue District.
