Dorothy Southwood Dies At Her Home

Dorothy E. Southwood, 60, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 1980, at her home at 417 W. Avenue F in Lewistown.

She was born May 12, 1920, in Lewistown, a daughter of John and Mary (Brown) Lindstrom. She married Hubert Southwood Jan. 3, 1939, in Lewistown.

He survives, along with two sons, Gerald of Lewistown and Gary of Bryant; one stepson, Richard of Pekin; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Judy DeMoss of Bernadotte; seven grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her mother of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Arthur and Jack Lindstrom, both of Prince George, British Columbia, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Hanachuck of Vilna, Canada, and Mrs. Maxine Henderson of Springfield, Mo.

One son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Southwood was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, and was chairman of the church Thrift Shop for the last two years.

She also was a member of the Lewistown Rebekah Lodge, of which she was Noble Grand, and was a member of the Macomb LMPA and the Summum Izaak Walton League.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Peter Funch officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
