William Schisler Of Ipava Dies

William Henry Schisler, 87, of Ipava, a retired farmer, died Monday evening, July 19, at the Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.

He was born at Astoria on Oct. 29, 1883, a son of Jacob and Mary McKinney Schisler. He married Della May Grove on Nov. 26, 1907, at Springfield, and she survives.*

Also surviving are three sons, Clare of Good Hope, Kenneth of Table Grove and Perry of Ipava; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Naomi Simms of LeRoy, Kansas.

Two sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Schisler was a member of the Ipava Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Ipava Christian Church. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.

*Laura’s note: I may be wrong, but I don’t think this is correct, as I found records that Della died March 19, 1971. Her obituary ran March 24, 1971 in the Argus-Searchlight.
