Emma Foutch Samuell was born May 16, 1890, and departed this life November 11, 1910, aged 20 years, 5 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Robert Samuell July 4, 1903. To this union were born two children, a son and a daughter, the daughter dying in her infancy.
She leaves a father, mother, two brothers, one sister and a little son three years old, to mourn her loss.
On May 16, 1909, she united with the Church of the Brethren at Quinter, Kansas. She died at the home of her parents at Summum and was buried in the Hickory cemetery.
The services were conducted by S. G. Bucher from Job 14:14. Thus a dear one is taken from us, though brief her life it was strewn with many sorrows; but we know that the righteous shall shine as the stars and God shall wipe all tears from their eyes.
