He was born March 27, 1958, a son of Willard R. and Elizabeth M. Lashbrook Richey. He married Patricia Phillips on Aug. 22, 1981, in Rushville. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents Willard and Betty Richey of Vermont; two daughters, Keli Sue Richey and Jessica Richey, both of Rushville; one brother, Danny Richey of Vermont; four sisters, Marilyn (and Mike) Krominga of Pontiac, Kathy Henry of Astoria, Rita (and Keith) Treadwell of Dayton, Ohio, and Willa Campbell of Ipava; and one grandchild.
He worked for many years with his father-in-law, Richard Phillips, in home restoration. He later was employed in the maintenance department at Culbertson Memorial Hospital for 22 years before retiring.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Rushville City Cemetery with Rev. Robert Kirkham officiating. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
