She was born April 3, 1947, in Beardstown, the daughter of Arthur and Ramona Brasel Anderson. She married Laurence Rogers Jr. on Nov. 13, 1965, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Carrie (and Kevin) Anderson, Heather Rogers and Sara Rogers, all of Springfield; one brother, Daniel (and Cristina) Anderson of Rockford; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Roy David Anderson.
She graduated from the Astoria High School in 1965. She previously worked as a bank teller and for several years at the Springfield Kmart.
Cremation will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville was in charge of arrangements.
