Kent Robbins

Kent RobbinsKent Lee Robbins, 60, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Dallas, Texas, and Rushville, died at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 28, 2019, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 7, 1959, in Beardstown, a son of Francis Earl and Eunice E. Ward Robbins.

Surviving are two brothers, Robb (and Susan) Robbins of Oregon, Ill., and Craig (and Lori) Robbins of Fort Collins, Colo.; and three sisters, Christi (and Ted) Ashley of Dallas, Texas, Becky Nielsen (and the late Dennis) of Alberta, Canada, and Terri (and Steve) Quillen of Rushville.

He graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1977 with honors. He also graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1980 with an Associates Degree in commercial art and graphic design. He worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and painter for nearly 40 years. He was last employed as a graphic designer for Partsmaster, a Division of NCH Corporation in Irving, Texas.

He was a member of Rushville First Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Schuyler Jail Museum and Geological Center.
