MARGO M. RIMINGTON

Margo M. Rimington, 74, of Montgomery, Ala., formerly of Ipava, died April 29, 2016, in Montgomery.

She was born March 14, 1942, in Champaign, a daughter of John Edwin and Goldie Rudisill Rimington.

Surviving are one brother, David (and Cindy) Rimington of Prophetstown; two stepbrothers, Carl Dean (and Martha) Scott of Rock Falls and Larry Scott of Middlesex, N.C.; and two stepsisters, Mary Jane (and Randy) Hemphill of Burlington, Iowa, and Judith Ann Charbonneaux of Minot, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Iva Deloris Rimington; and one brother, Paul Rimington.

She was a school teacher, teaching in Hanna City and Industry.

She was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1970-73 in active duty and was in the Army Reserves until 1998.

She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at her church with Reverend Dr. Gary Elg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
