Deloris Rimington, 82, of Ipava died at 6:17 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Stronghurst, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Hughes Philbrick. She married Albert A. Scott on Dec. 24, 1934, in Palmyra, Mo. He died June 26, 1980.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers.
She married Edwin Rimington on July 24, 1982, in West Burlington, Iowa. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Carl (and Martha) Scott of Rock Falls and Larry Scott of Middlesex, N.C.; two daughters, Mary Crooks of Burlington, Iowa, and Judith Charbonneaux of Minot, N.D.; one stepdaughter, Margo Rimington of Montgomery, Ala.; one stepson, David Rimington of Prophetstown; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Moline of Mason City, Iowa, and Betty (and Bob) Briggs of Elgin, Ore.
She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church, where services were held Monday with Rev. Dr. A.R. Juterbock officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
