He was born July 4, 1939, in Woodstock Township, Schuyler Co., a son of Jennus and Iva Lawler Reische. He married Dorothy Clayton on May 27, 1967, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Scott Reische of Rushville; one daughter, Stephanie Smedly of Rushville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles William Reische; and three sisters, Maxine Bartlow, Virginia Acker and Ruby Thompson.
He did construction work, was foreman of a rock quarry and worked for the county highway department for 28 years.
Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney and Pastor Darrell Cardwell officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
