Marjorie L. Rutledge, 77, of Preemption died July 10, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.
She was born March 13, 1936, in Fulton County, a daughter of Harold and Pauline Stroops Parsano. She married Richard Rutledge on Sept. 17, 1955, in Ipava.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Rutledge of Preemption; one son, Randy Rutledge of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, George Parsano of Good Hope; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melanie Rutledge in 1968; and one sister, Mary Lou Belville.
She worked several years at Rock Island Credit Bureau and had worked at Rock Island Livestock Auction.
She was a member of Preemption United Methodist Church, Sherrard Fire Auxiliary, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and former member of Eastern Star.
She and her husband wintered in Arizona. While in Arizona, she helped at the school of San Lucas.
Graveside services were held July 15 at Vermont Cemetery. Dennison Funeral Home in Viola was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Preemption Methodist Church, Sherrard Fire Department or Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children.
