George Parsano

George F. Parsano, 92, of Good Hope died at 8:15 p.m. March 29, 2023, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.

He was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Ray, the son of Harold and Pauline Stroops Parsano. He married Helen Stephen on June 30, 1957, in Virginia. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Teresa Powell of Good Hope; two sons, Marty Parsano of Good Hope and Russell (and Shirley) Parsano of LaHarpe; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Belville and Marge Rutledge; one grandchild, Rusty Parsano; and one great-grandchild, Matthew Bible in infancy.

He has lived in Good Hope since 1977. He first farmed and then worked at Haeger Pottery. He was a Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.

He coached little league and showed sheep.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Vermont Cemetery with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating where full military rites was conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
