She was born June 9, 1928, in Brimson, Mo., a daughter of Martin Dirk "Bill" and Bertha Shirley Claassen. She married Lawrence Edward Reeder on Nov. 26, 1946, in Rushville. He died July 23, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Leverton; and three brothers, N. Dean Claassen, James D. Claassen and George W. Claassen.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynde (and Bob) Lunt of rural Mount Sterling and Carol (and Ron) Cox of rural Huntsville; one brother, Martin Claassen Jr. of rural Rushville; two sisters, Opal (and Bill) Richter of Lewistown and Elizabeth "Liz" (and Dick) Etter of rural Rushville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She and her husband farmed in Schuyler County for over 50 years. After retiring, they moved to Rushville.
She attended Rushville Assembly of God Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Terry Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services on Wednesday.
