Lawrence ReederLawrence Edward Reeder, 80, of Rushville died at 9:35 p.m. July 23, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born March 25, 1927, in Camden, a son of Walter and Nettie Lung Reeder. He married Dorothy Claassen on Nov. 26, 1946, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lynde (and Bob) Lunt of Mount Sterling and Carol (and Ron) Cox of Huntsville; two sisters, Wilma (and Dean) Wise of Astoria and Rose Erickson of Rushville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert; two brothers who died in infancy; and one sister, Zelda Yates.

He farmed in Schuyler County for over 50 years, and after retiring started a lawn mower repair business in Rushville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
