Grace F. Riggins, 90, ofâVermont died at 3:44 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at her residence.
She was born July 31, 1913, in Sciota Township, McDonough County, a daughter of Olin Floyd and Elma Ruth Baker Foster. She married John Milford Riggins on March 27, 1933, in Macomb. He died in 1980.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and James; one daughter, Carol Burton; and two grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Fugate of Industry and Donna (and Bill) Miller of Vermont; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She had been a cook at Everly House in Macomb. She also was a homemaker and caregiver.
She was a member of Faith Christian Family Church in Rushville, where services were held Monday with Rev. Gary Kruzan officiating. Burial was in Camp Creek Cemetery. Jones Mortuary in Colchester was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to her church or McDonough District Hospital Hospice.
