A funeral Mass for Paul B. Ritter, 17, and Suzy "Pooh" Ritter, 14, both of Adair was held on Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Macomb with Rev. Richard Pricco officiating.
The brother and sister were pronounced dead Wednesday, July 3, 2002, near Adair. They died in a single-vehicle accident just outside of Adair.
He was born June 5, 1985, in Macomb, the son of John and LeAnna Brown Ritter.
He had attended VIT Elementary School and would have been a junior at Macomb High School in the fall.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
She was born April 11, 1988, in Macomb, the daughter of John and LeAnna Brown Ritter.
She had attended VIT Elementary School and Edison Junior High in Macomb and would have been a freshman at Macomb High School in the fall.
She was member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She also was a former Girl Scout.
They are survived by their parents; grandparents, Merle and Louise Brown of Table Grove; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Table Grove, Vermont and Ipava.
They were preceded in death by their grandparents, Paul and Louise Ritter.
Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Sargent-Worthington Funeral of Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Adair Fire and Rescue Squad.
