Ora Y. Rittenhouse, 79, of Adair, died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.
He was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Schuyler County, a son of Fred and Minnie Young Rittenhouse. He married Winona Camp on Aug. 19, 1939, in Keokuk, Iowa. She died Dec. 6, 1984. He later married Berniece Rupert on May 25, 1988, in Hannibal, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Dixie Weaver of Bushnell; three sisters, Mildred Bollinger of Beardstown, Fairy Robertson of Browning and Frieda Rittenhouse of Washington, D.C.; and one grandson.
One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a farmer and also sold agriculture products.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Kevin Sheece officiating. Cremation was accorded after the service, and burial of cremains was in Browning Cemetery.
