Kimble Rakestraw

Mrs. A. W. Hickle received word of the death of Kimble Rakestraw of Abeline, Kans., Saturday afternoon, following a paralytic stroke. He passed away just two days later than his brother Thomas.

He was born June 5, 1861. He was the son of Wilson and Phoebe Smith Rakestraw. He was united in marriage to Louisa Shields. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Hickle and two grandchildren of whom he raised, their parents passing away when they were small. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, a host of nephews and nieces and friends.

He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Abeline.
