Larry QuillenLarry G. “Termite” Quillen, 66, of Rushville died at 9:16 a.m. Jan. 11, 2016, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Rushville, a son of Wayne B. and Mary Eleanor Rexroat Quillen. He married Candy Lynn Coffey on Jan. 27, 1979, in Rushville. She passed away Nov. 12, 1991.

He also was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Quillen.

Surviving are two nephews, Steve (and Terri) Quillen and Ryan Quillen, both of Rushville; and one great-niece, Megan Quillen of Rushville.

He graduated from Rushville High School with the class of 1967. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving in the 183rd Fighter Wing, Illinois National Guard from Feb. 6, 1968, to Feb. 5, 1974. He worked for Oscar Meyer Company and Cargill-Excel in Beardstown and Bartlow Brothers Meat Packing in Rushville. He later was a grounds keeper for the Rushville City Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery with military services by Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and a U.S. Air Force Honors Detail. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
