Danny Parry

Danny G. Parry, 71, of Ipava died at 5:39 a.m. Aug. 27, 2020, at his home.

He was born Dec. 1, 1948, in Macomb, a son of Robert and Barbara Wickert Parry. He married Lisa Ann Williams Bucher on Feb. 12, 1993, in Astoria. She preceded him in death on July 10, 2020.

He also was preceded in death by one stepson, Erik Allen Bucher.

Surviving are two daughters, Monica (and Jeff) Braun of Lewistown and Sonja (and Josh) Peterson of Havana; one sister, Linda (and Gail Scott) Shaw of Macomb; one brother, Jim “Jap” Parry of Ipava; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one step grandchild.

He worked at Caterpillar for 31 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy after high school until 1973.

He was a member of the Ipava American Legion Post #17 for over 50 years.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ipava Cemetery in Ipava with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Ipava American Legion Post #17. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
