Carole PalmerCarole A. Palmer, 84, of Havana died May 7, 2018.

She was born April 19, 1934, a daughter of George and Helen Tarvin. She married Harold Palmer on April 28, 1951, in Sikeston, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2011.

Surviving are five children, Elizabeth (and Brian) Bohannon of Lewistown, Peggy (and David) Naff of Mahomet, Dianne Palmer of Egg Harbor, Wis., and Karen (and Michael) Snedeker and Randall (and Becky) Palmer, both of Havana; one sister, Paula DeWees; two brothers, Larry and Ted Tarvin; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed her partnership with Shelby Windsor as they operated Pied Piper Nursery School for many years. She owned and operated Floral Design in Havana for several years.

She was a member, Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher for many years at Havana Church of Christ. For the last seven years she was a faithful member of Isabel Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Steve Hoover officiating. Burial was at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be left in Carole’s name to Isabel Church.
