She was born July 14, 1935, in Decatur, the daughter of Edward Ceril and Mabel Easter Page Keith. She married Maurice “Woody” Phillips in July of 1956.
Surviving are three children, Nancee (and Steve) O’Hara, Cindy (and Rick) Shaw and Brian Phillips, all of Rushville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A 1953 graduate of Beardstown High School, she first worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Springfield. She later worked as an aide at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville and as a waitress at the Schuy-Vista in Rushville. For years, she operated her own home and commercial cleaning service.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Rushville.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial will follow in the Palm Cemetery, west of Rushville.
Memorials may be made to the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or the Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
