Lloyd P. Pigg, 74, of Canton died at 10 a.m. July 10, 2014, at home.

He was born March 5, 1940, in Bernadotte, a son of Dwight and Mildred Stockham Pigg. He married Sandra Ford on June 7, 1960, in Smithfield. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael (and Ruth Kikey) Pigg of Summum and Mark (and Alison) Pigg of Statesville, N.C.; two sisters, Shirley (and Keith) Brown Jr. of Herman and Sue Clayberg of Crossville, Tenn.; one brother, Terry (and Becky) Pigg of Lewistown; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dwight “Butch”, Arlan and Jim Pigg; and three sisters, Kay Simpson, Mildred Martindale and Helen Moore.

He was a Stationary Engineer at International Harvester in Canton for 22 years. He then worked for Bradley University for five years, and last worked for Illinois Department of Corrections.

He was in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1958-65 with the rank of Machinist Mate, 1st Class.

He was a member of Lewistown American Legion Post #1.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Summum Cemetery in Summum with Pastor Randy Munson officiating. Military rites were provided by Lewistown American Legion Post #1. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
