She was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Lewistown, a daughter of Clarence E. and Frances M. Humphrey Yocum. She married Roland "Gene" Pelton on May 30, 1950, in Lewistown. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Rich (and Goldie) Pelton of Chillicothe; two daughters, Connie (and Ed) Rardon of Quincy and Eva (and Merlin) Cox of Pekin; seven brothers, Frank (and Carol) Yocum of Ipava, James (and Char) Yocum of Pekin, Eldon (and Lucretia) Yocum of Lakeland, Fla., John (and Dondra) Yocum, Thomas (and Beverly) Yocum and William (and Charlene) Yocum, all of Lewistown and Samuel Yocum of Springfield; six sisters, Geraldine (and Don) Lybarger of Romeoville, Sara Beth Yocum of Heber Springs, Ark., Peggy Towery of Canton, Mildred (and Bob) Dwyer of Hannibal, Mo., Mary Yocum of Holland, Mich., and Charlene (and Dannie) Hutton of Lewistown; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Kevin Vantine officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
