PATRICIA A. (JAKOBY) PEPLOW

Patricia Peplow

Patricia A. Peplow, 67, of West Peoria, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 1997, at Park Strathmoor Nursing Home in Rockford, where she had resided the past 2 1/2 years.

She was born Dec. 7, 1929, in Peoria, a daughter of Michael G. Jr. and Doretta J. Sutton Jakoby. She married Thomas B. Peplow on Aug. 28, 1954, in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother of Astoria; two sons, Raymond A. Peplow of East Peoria and Marvin L. Peplow of Bartlett; two daughters, Mrs. Gregory (Michele) Morris of Batavia and Mrs. Victor (Ann) Edwards of Geneva; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Michael G. Jakoby III of Manito; and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Nancy) Gruber of Astoria and Mrs. James (Mary) Trimpe of Havana.

A sales clerk at Carson Pirie Scott & Co. for 16 years, she worked in the downtown store and later at Northwoods Mall. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, where services were held this morning. Rev. Robert G. Schladen officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the West Peoria Fire Department and Rescue Squad or the Park Strathmoor Nursing Home.

Wilton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
