VeteranWillard Peterson Dies In Maryland

Willard C. Peterson, 72, of Bostic, N.C., formerly of Astoria, died at 8:11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 1983, in Bethesda (Md.) Naval Hospital.

Born June 15, 1911, in Ames, Iowa, to Edward G. and Mae Danner Peterson, he married Patricia Evans Oct. 17, 1952, in Lockport.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Thomas Reichert of Rixeyville, Va., and Harold Reichert of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren; his mother of Astoria; and one sister, Mrs. Harriett Hall of Cape Coral, Fla. His father preceded him in death.

A retired barber, and a veteran of World War II, he was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church at Bostic, Cape Coral Blue Lodge 367, Order of Eastern Star at Spindale, N.C., White Shrine, PWS Colonial 55 of Chicago Heights, Araba Shrine Temple of Fort Myers, Fla., VFW of Greater Pine Island, Fla., and Scottish Rite, Valley of Chicago.

Funeral services were to be at 11 a.m. this morning in Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Fred L. Meisenheimer officiating. Burial was to be in Woodland Cemetery.
