Services Held Friday For Mrs. Calla Onion

Funeral services for Mrs. Calla Onion, 78, of Ipava, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ipava Christian church of which she was a member. The Rev. Forrest Wise and Rev. E. E. Catlin, officiated. Burial was in the Ipava cemetery.

Mrs. Onion died Wednesday morning at her residence.

She was born April 24, 1883, in Pleasant township, Fulton county, to Samuel and Jane Azbell Huff. She was married Dec. 23, 1902, to Owen O. Onion, who died Aug. 22, 1961.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ila Mercer of Ipava, Mrs. Nona Plate of Adair and Mrs. Lena Hammond of Ipava; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One brother and four sisters are deceased.
