Barbara J. Maloney, 90, of Bushnell died at 7:56 p.m. April 7, 2024, at her daughter’s home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Bushnell, a daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude Bartlett Hammond. She married James Robert Maloney on June 16, 1951, in Table Grove. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2001.
Surviving are five children, Stacey (and Tim) Bolt of Lynn Center, Ken Maloney of Idaho, Alan Maloney of Bushnell and Larry (and Mary Jo) Maloney Sr. of Plymouth; one grandson, Larry Maloney Jr. of Berne, Ind.; one brother, Bill (and Sara) Hammond of Bardolph; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter, Theresa Maloney; one brother, Jim Hammond; and three sisters, Betty Hyde, Beverly Cox and Judy Tarvin.
Cremation Rites have been accorded by Martin-Hollis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bushnell Township Cemetery with Pastor Jim Eddy officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the graveside services at the Bushnell VFW Post 1422 until 2 p.m.
