Patricia A. Parry McKinney Mitchell of Rushville died at 4:30 a.m. June 18, 2022, at her home.
She was born April 17, 1940, in Astoria, a daughter of Marshall and Lucille Kalebaugh Parry. She married Bobby D. McKinney in 1958. She later married Larry S. "Maddog" Mitchell in Beardstown in 1983. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dixie Blanch; one brother, Allen Parry; and one daughter, Deborah McKinney-Lyytman.
Surviving are one sister, Donna Baum of Florida; one son, Eric (and Ruth) McKinney; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She and Larry ran the local tavern and between the years of 1986 to 2014, she held numerous designations for wildlife rehabilitation permits and operated as a rescuer for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 20, at Triplett Funeral Home in Rushville. There will then be a procession to Phillips Cemetery, outside of Rushville, for an inurnment.
