She was born Dec. 22, 1939, in Astoria, a daughter of Henry and Clarine Bankes Palmer. She married Dale McCance on June 20, 1959, in Smithfield. He died July 1, 2005.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (and Dawn) McCance of Lewistown and Charles McCance of Colchester; one brother, Carroll Palmer of Lewistown; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. There will be no visitation. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.
