Harold MorrellHarold Lloyd Morrell, 89, of rural Huntsville died at 10:34 a.m. April 6, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mount Sterling.

He was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a son of Lloyd Kenneth and Clara Lorena Cady Morrell. He married Dorothy Brannan on Nov. 28, 1946, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Lewis (and Donna) Morrell and Roy Morrell, both of Camden, and Dennis (and Sue) Morrell of Rushville; one brother, Norman (and Sharon) Morrell of Augusta; one sister, Doris V. Vincent of Rushville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Francis B. Morrell; and two brothers, Bradford and Harlan Morrell.

He was a lifelong farmer. He also worked for the Schuyler County Highway Department, Illinois Department of Transportation and was a coal miner, retiring in 1988. After his retirement, he drove a bus for Schuyler School District #1.

He was a member of United Methodist Church, Rushville Saddle Club, Rushville Flying Club, Rushville Moose Lodge #506 and United Mine Workers of America.

Funeral services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Grant Armstrong and Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
